Internal Audit

The Internal Audit function in universities and college is an important component of good governance.  It provides independent and objective assurance to decision-makers and provides services and assessments designed to add value to the institution, improve operations and limit institutional risks.  Internal Auditors help institutions reach their objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to the evaluation of activities, the development of good governance practices, and the effective assessment and management of risks.

Within CAUBO, leadership on this issue has been delegated to the Internal Audit Standing Committee.
