Organizational Development is a relatively recent addition to universities as a formal function. Increasingly, organizational development professionals have joined the universities often within the Human Resources departments and at other times as stand alone units. Organizational development professionals are often the focus of leadership in aligning the missions of units with those of the university or providing development opportunities and communication strategies which once again help greater alignment with institutional strategies.
CAUBO supports this function in universities through activities of its Board of Directors and those of the Human Resources Committee.
