Treasury and Investment

The Treasury and Investment function in universities includes the management and investment of pension and endowment funds and the management and investment of university liquidity.  Whether a dedicated function or one that is integrated into the financial function, the function has become increasingly complex over the years.  The risks relative to investment returns are high and governance plays a crucial role in ensuring that those risks are managed and mitigated.

Within CAUBO, leadership on this issue has been delegated to the Treasury and Investment Committee.
