Mandate

The National Facilities Management Committee is responsible for the oversight and longterm development of the Core Facilities Data Survey.  In addition to the oversight of this annual survey, the National Committee will promote greater sharing of information and expertise among facilities managers across Canadian universities, will identify areas of current or emerging importance where collective action may be beneficial, and will participate in the development of the CAUBO Annual Conference and Pre-conference programs.

Responsibilities and Activities

  • To oversee the collection and reporting of critical facilities management data to support funding decisions at the University executive and facilities management levels.  
  • Work with CAUBO Annual Conference organizing group to promote and facilitate the inclusion of facilities-related educational programs at the Annual Conference, including a Saturday Workshop on Facilities Management.
  • To coordinate the identification and research of critical facilities issues to support appropriate action and opportunities for group solutions that could be more cost-effective.
